The Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School Foundation was incorporated as a unique entity in 2001, and is responsible for managing the KMLHS Foundation's endowment fund.

The Foundation's endowment fund has historically been a major source of tuition assistance for families who enroll children at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School. As the fund has grown over the years, the amount of tuition assistance has also increased. Due to the rising costs of education, this source of assistance is increasingly important for families who need some help with the costs of tuition.

The Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School Foundation, Inc. has been established to:

• Manage the endowment fund for perpetual support of student assistance for KML students.

• Use the fund's earnings to assist families and advance the mission of Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School.

• Demonstrate a long term commitment to Christian education for generations to come.

The KMLHS Foundation manages an endowment fund for the purpose of providing tuition assistance for KML students, and supporting other efforts that enhance the ministry at KML.

The KMLHS Foundation board has adopted an investment philosophy that seeks modest returns with minimal risk. This balanced approach is designed to retain the invested principal and also grow the fund over time so more funding is available for tuition assistance and other ministry projects.

The Foundation board continually reviews this philosophy and ensures that the investments are consistent with the guidelines that have been established.

Each year, the KMLHS Foundation board calculates the amount of income that will be distributed for tuition assistance and possibly other projects. The board typically authorizes an annual distribution of 5% of the fund's assets.

The board is authorized to use a small portion of the annual income for other ministry projects as they deem appropriate.
