The Benefits of IRA Charitable Rollover Gifts
Is it possible to take money from your IRA, make a donation to charity, give less to the government and end up with more money in your pocket? Yes, and the process is quite easy.
If you are 70½ years old or older, own at least one IRA account, and donate to charity, this might be a good option to consider.
Making an IRA Charitable Rollover gift is easy:
Decide the charity, or charities, you choose to support
Decided the amount of money you wish to donate to charity
Contact your IRA account representative to request the transfer
So, here are the benefits:
You donate to charity, which you planned to do anyway
You reduce your taxable income which means less money for the government
Since you reduce your taxes, you have more money in your own pocket
If this seems like a good option to consider, contact either your financial planner or me (paul.snamiska@kmlhs.org or 262-677-4051x1116) to discuss the benefits.
