KML Foundation Distributes Over $100K

The KML Foundation exists to support the ministry of Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School. This support is specifically focused on student assistance, college scholarships and other KML programs and projects.

The Foundation manages donations from a variety of sources such as cash, events like our golf outing and clay shoot, and a number of estate gifts. These funds are conservatively invested with the goal of modest growth.

Through the generous support last year from many donors, the KML Foundation received more than $312,000 in estate gifts, $52,000 from the golf outing, $14,000 from the Clay Shooting event and a number of individual gifts.

The result is that the Foundation’s assets have now exceeded $3 million! This is very exciting since it means even more support for our KML students and families.

At the board’s January meeting, they authorized the following distributions:

  • $100,500 for KML’s student assistance fund

  • $23,000 for college scholarships for KML seniors

This total of $123,500 was a nice increase from last year’s distribution of $112,100, and continued increases are expected as the endowment funds continue growing.

In addition to these distributions, the Foundation board also awarded $5,000 for upcoming KML mission trips that will cover transportation costs for the chaperones.

We often say this is the best time of the year as these distributions are made. It is truly exciting to see the impact for our current and future KML students.

If you would like to learn more about the KML Foundation, or consider your own endowed gift, contact Paul at paul.snamiska@kmlhs.org. He can help you choose the best option for your situation. A QCD designation, a gift of appreciated assets, a beneficiary listing, an estate gift through your will or trust or simply a cash contribution. Regardless of the type of gift, you will know that you are making a lasting impact for more students to attend KML and hear the precious Gospel every day.
