We're excited to share several significant updates that mark an important new chapter in supporting Christian education at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School.
A New Name, Same Mission
The KML Foundation Board has approved changing our name to the KML Legacy Foundation, effective this fall. This change better reflects our mission of creating lasting legacies that will impact future generations of KML students.
While our name is evolving, our commitment remains unchanged: supporting Christian education, providing tuition assistance, and funding college scholarships for KML families. Our new tagline, "Your Legacy. Their Future." captures the heart of what we do which is connecting your generous gifts and estate plans with the bright futures of KML students for generations to come.
Investing in KML's Future: $250,000 Fieldhouse Gift
The KML Legacy Foundation Board has approved a $250,000 gift toward the Fieldhouse Expansion Project to complete the construction of five additional classrooms. This significant investment demonstrates our commitment to KML's growing enrollment and educational excellence.
These new classrooms will provide much-needed space for our expanding student body. As part of this gift, the Atrium of the fieldhouse will be named the KML Legacy Foundation Atrium—our first branded signage on campus, helping raise awareness of the Foundation's ongoing support for KML families.
New Estate Planning Partnership
We're pleased to announce a partnership with local attorney Robert Melick to provide estate planning services specifically for KML families. Through this arrangement, KML families can have a professionally prepared will created for just $100. Who is included as part of the KML Family? That could be KML Grandparents, Parents, Alumni, members of the KML Federation, etc. Basically, anyone associated with KML. Additionally, Robert generously donates the full $100 fee back to the KML Legacy Foundation, meaning your estate planning directly supports student assistance and scholarships. There’s also discounted rates for trusts if you want to really solidify your estate plan.
Attorney Melick will also conduct an estate planning information session at the KML Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 6:00 PM during Estate Planning Week. This free, no-obligation event is designed to help KML families understand their estate planning options in a relaxed, educational setting. There’s been a tremendous response already, and we would love to have you join us! You can RSVP at kmlhs.org/estatenight25
Looking Ahead
These initiatives reflect our dedication to making Christian education accessible today while building a strong foundation for tomorrow. Whether through immediate gifts, estate planning, or joining our Heritage Society, there are many ways to create a lasting legacy that supports KML's mission.
We're grateful for the continued support of our KML community and look forward to serving families for generations to come.
